Based in beautiful Mid Wales, only fifteen miles west of Welshpool, Flying High Falconry provides you with the opportunity to engage in the ancient art of hunting with trained birds of prey.
You will have the opportunity to experience flying our Harris Hawks at pheasants and rabbits, in addition we may also fly large falcons to the lure. With the land we have available, over 3,000 acres, and the experience of our falconers we can “almost” guarantee a thrilling day of hunting where you will be “centre stage”.
Remember this is a totally “Hands on Day”, you will not watch a falconer showing you how its done, you will be “the” falconer. Wherever possible we offer a 2:1 ratio of our staff with our visitors so there will always be someone close at hand to assist.
The scenery is stunning as well as being the home of a wide range of wildlife. Almost every day we see Buzzards, Red Kites, Sparrow Hawks as well as the occasional Peregrine, smaller birds include Woodcock, Snipe, Bullfinch, Goldfinch, Greater Spotted Woodpeckers etc etc
